Getting to Rome

What airport should I arrive to?

For the Teen Residence Program in Rome, you should arrive to the Fiumicino - Leonardo da Vinci airport (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA) in Rome where you will be met by a school chaperone in the arrival's hall.  You will be taken to program campus.

When should I arrive and depart?

You should plan to arrive on a Sunday and depart on a Saturday. For flights from the US/Canada this means leaving the US/Canada on a Saturday and flying overnight for a Sunday morning arrival in Europe/France.

How can I get to Paris from the US/Canada?

There are numerous direct flights between the US/Canada and Rome ADR. Here is a partial list of airlines (this list is by no means comprehensive so check with your travel agent for additional options):

Air Canada

Alitalia

American Airlines

Continental Airlines

Delta Airlines

Lufthansa

Northwest Airlines

There are also numerous indirect flights between the US/Canada and Rome ADR or Ciampino CIA international airports. We suggest you contact your travel agent for options.

Can I fly as an Unaccompanied Minor?

Yes, this program does supports students travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor. You must advise us in advance if you have booked this service with your airline. Please note: for this program there is $150 each way service charge to coordinate the special airport pick-up and drop-off requirements.

If I want to make my own travel arrangements can you recommend any good travel sites?

There are some great sites out there!  In addition to www.expedia.com, www.expedia.ca, www.travelocity.com and www.travelocity.ca a few of our favorites include www.kayak.com, where you can compare different fares and then book directly through the website offering the best price and www.farecast.com, where you can compare fares and get a forecast of the best time to buy your ticket based on whether or not fares are predicted to go up or down.

And once you have your booking confirmed, be sure to provide us with your travel plans by e-mail so we can inform the school!

Please note: The Teen Residence Program in Rome starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday.  You should plan to arrive between 1:00pm and 7:00pm on the Sunday before your classes begin on the Monday.  Your departure should be between 10:00am and 4:00pm on the Saturday after your last class.
