Supervision level for Montreux, Switzerland

Supervision level:

The supervision level for this program is MEDIUM. This program is intended for teens 14-17 who are comfortable with a small degree of independence.  School staff accompany students during class time or on school-organized activities.  Students will make their own way to and from their homestay accommodation and they will have some free time to explore Montreux with friends. 

The city of Montreux enforces an evening curfew for minors (those under 18), which the school and your homestay family will enforce as follows:

• For students who are 15 and younger, you can go out unchaperoned until 8:00 PM with written permission from your parents.
• For students who are 16 and older, you can go out unchaperoned until 10:00 PM with written permission from your parents.

If you do not have written permission from your parents you will not be able to leave your homestay in the evening unless you are accompanied by an adult member of your host family or you are attending chaperoned school organized activities/excursions.

The only times you are allowed to stay out past the curfews listed above is when you are out with an adult member of your host family or you are on chaperoned school organized activities/excursions.

Please note: If you are not behaving in a manner considered acceptable for your age it could result in expulsion from the program without refund.
