Homestay

The supervision level for the homestay option is MEDIUM.

We recommend the homestay option for teens 11-17 who are comfortable with some independence.  Students will make their own way to and from their homestay accommodation. School staff accompany students during class time or on school-organized activities.  When students visit areas of interest in and around central Montpellier they may be given 45 minutes to an hour to explore the area in small groups before meeting at a pre-designated place with the group. Students must carry the school's 24 hour emergency phone number with them at all times.

There is a daily curfew, 11:30 PM on weeknights and 12:00 AM on weekends, which the homestay family will enforce.  If students are not behaving in a manner considered acceptable for their age it could result in expulsion from the program without refund.

Residence

The supervision level for the residence option is HIGH.

The residence option is suitable for teens 14-17.  A monitor lives in residence with the students and accompanies them to and from school, offering 24/7 supervision.  When students visit areas of interest in and around central Montpellier they may be given 45 minutes to an hour to explore the area in small groups before meeting at a pre-designated place with the group. Students must carry the school's 24 hour emergency phone number with them at all times.

There is a daily curfew, 11:30 PM on weeknights and 12:00 AM on weekends, which residence staff will enforce.  If students are not behaving in a manner considered acceptable for their age it could result in expulsion from the program without refund.
