What airport should I arrive to?

For the Teen Residence/Homestay Program in Montpellier, you should arrive to the Montpellier Airport where you will be met by a school chaperone in the arrival's hall and taken to your accommodation. 

When should I arrive?

You should plan to arrive on a Sunday and depart on a Saturday. For flights from the US/Canada this means leaving the US/Canada on a Saturday and flying overnight for a Sunday morning arrival in Europe.

How can I get to Montpellier from the US/Canada?

There are no direct flights between the US/Canada and Montpellier so you will need to change planes at an airport hub in the UK or Europe (typically London or Paris). Please note: the school does not assist with transfers in Paris so you must be comfortable handling this transfer by yourself.  Here is a list of airlines that fly into Montpellier Airport (this list is by no means comprehensive so check with your travel agent for additional options):

We completely understand your concern.   If this is your first independent overseas trip you may prefer to attend a program that does not involve an overseas flight connection. If this is the case, we suggest you consider:

Paris Super-intensive Residence Program (for 15 to 18 year olds) - Paris airport pick-up

Paris Residence Program (for 13 to 17 year olds) - Paris airport pick-up

Cannes, France Residence Program (for 13 to 17 year olds) - Nice airport pick-up

Leysin, Switzerland Residence Program (for 13 to 17 year olds) - Geneva airport pick-up

Can I fly as an Unaccompanied Minor?

This program supports student travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor for arrivals only. It does not support students travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor for departures. If you do not feel comfortable flying home without this status you may want to consider the following programs:

Please note: The Teen Residence/Homestay Program in Montpellier starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday.  You should plan to arrive/depart between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. We cannot guarantee accommodation availability for arrivals before Sunday or departures after Saturday. Also, there may be extra transfer charges if you arrive or depart outside of these days or the hours listed above.  Please call us toll-free on 1 888 386 1411 if you are having trouble getting flights for the required days/times.
