2007 Prices - Summer Mature Teen Homestay Program - Malaga, Spain

Prices are in US$ unless otherwise specified.

• high season supplement of $8 US from July 1 to September 8, 2007; this is not included in the above prices

Additional costs:

• Travel to and from Malaga
• Pocket money - $170 to $200 US per week (this depends on the personal spending habits of the participant)

Supervision level :  The supervision level for this program is LOW.  This program is intended for the mature teen who is comfortable with a fair amount of independence.  Students are accompanied by school staff during class time or on school-organized activities.  At all other times they are free to explore Malaga and the surrounding areas by themselves or with friends (recommended as it’s more fun!).   While there is no formal curfew, if students are not behaving in a manner considered acceptable for their age, the homestay family will report this to school staff and this could result in expulsion from the program without refund.   For more information please contact us toll-free on 1 888 386 1411.

Note for parents: Spain is a country where people of all ages tend to stay out quite late at night. Dinner is often not eaten until 9:30 PM and many Spanish teens consider it very unfashionable to go out before 11:00 PM. During the summer months the streets of any Spanish city or town are crowded until 2:00 or 3:00 AM and the lack of curfew for this program reflects this lifestyle. Please call us on 1 888 386 1411 if you would like a more in-depth understanding of Spanish culture and what your teens will experience while in Spain.

Payment Details:

A $300 US/$350 CDN per person non-refundable deposit is due upon booking and is payable by cheque.  The remaining amount is due 60 days prior to departure and is payable by cheque, money order, bank wire/transfer or credit card.

All cancellations and changes both prior to and during the course are governed by The Learning Traveller Terms and Conditions, which can be found here and will be provided at the time of registration. The Learning Traveller reserves the right to change prices without notice.
