Prior to completing the application package please be sure both teen(s) and parents have read through the information found on the following sections of The Learning Traveller website:

In order to get your program booking underway, please:

• Print the Kanazawa Gap Year Application 2011
• Print the Credit Card Authorization Form if you wish to pay the $300 US/CAD deposit by credit card
• Fax all completed documents to +1 416 925 5990 or scan and e-mail them to info@learningtraveller.com
• If you would like to pay the $300 US/CAD deposit by check, please note this at the top of your application. Checks are payable to Alderly Group Marketing Inc, and can be mailed to:

• Applications will not be processed until your deposit is received. Once your application is processed, the deposit is non-refundable as per The Learning Traveller Terms and Conditions. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NEED A VALID PASSPORT TO ENTER JAPAN. DEPENDING ON YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN YOU MAY ALSO NEED AN ENTRY VISA (US/CANADIAN CITIZENS DO NOT NEED AN ENTRY VISA FOR STAYS OF LESS THAN 3 MONTHS). PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL JAPANESE CONSULATE FOR VISA INFORMATION.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VALID PASSPORT PLEASE ENSURE YOU APPLY FOR A NEW ONE WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR PROGRAM START DATE.  ALL TRAVEL DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE APPLICANT.

 

Booking Confirmation:

Once we receive your completed application package we will provide a booking confirmation (this can take up to 72 hours) as well as final payment instructions. 

 

Travel Arrangements:

Upon receipt of your booking confirmation, you can make your travel arrangements. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received a booking confirmation from our office. We recommend that you travel into Narita (Tokyo) International Airport where you will connect to a domestic flight to Komatsu (Kanazawa) Airport. If you have booked an airport pick-up you will be picked up at Komatsu Airport by a driver and taken to your homestay accommodation in Kanazawa (travel details can be found here). In order to make your flight connections, please arrange to arrive to Tokyo Narita Airport on a Sunday prior to 4:00 PM and depart on a Saturday after 1:00 PM (arrival or departure outside of these hours/days will result in extra costs and must be pre-approved by our office).  Once you have your travel arrangements confirmed please provide us with the details by e-mail to reservation@learningtraveller.com. 

 

Pre-departure Information:

Approximately one month prior to your course start date you will receive a comprehensive pre-departure package with information to help you prepare for your language immersion program.
