We hope you'll never need it, but you would be crazy to leave home without it!

We highly recommend that prior to departing for your immersion progam you purchase comprehensive medical insurance (if you already have private medical insurance we encourage you to check your coverage and make sure you will be adequately protected while overseas).

We also recommend that you purchase travel insurance in the event that you have to cancel or cut short your immersion program due to a medical or family emergency (please ensure that your travel insurance covers both the cost of your ticket and the cost of your immersion program).

The Learning Traveller and our partner schools are not responsible for any costs related to medical treatment or emergencies while you are on your program. Even the most basic treatment can be expensive so please don't take any chances!
